Gifts from Retirement Plans
Making a gift of retirement account assets during your lifetime is permitted under recent law and can be financially beneficial. Retirement plan assets (those in qualified plans and IRAs) are ideal for charitable giving purposes. Contact Stephanie Watson, Development Director at firstname.lastname@example.org for information on making a planned gift with retirement assets. Please also check with your tax advisor about making a gift of retirement plan assets.
Planned Giving and Bequests
Including a charitable bequest in your will is a simple way to make a lasting and significant gift to Independent and the future of liberty and free societies. In doing so you leave a legacy of liberty, yet preserve and enjoy assets during your lifetime. Plus, the assets distributed to the Independent Institute are exempt from estate tax. You can leave a bequest to the Independent Institute by adding to an existing will or drafting a new one. To make a future gift of retirement plan assets simply requires a designation of the Independent Institute as the beneficiary of the plan.
For more information about how your charitable bequest can benefit the Independent Institute, please contact Stephanie Watson, Development Director at email@example.com. We also recommend that you consult with your tax advisor or planning professional.
